Rail Stop Fitness is Now an Official HYROX Training Club: Here’s What That Means for You
Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed a shift in some of our workouts.
Maybe it was the longer efforts.
Maybe it was the added Ski Erg or Sled Pushes and Pulls.
Maybe it was the combination of movements that pushed your lungs, your grip, and your mindset all at the same time.
That wasn’t by accident.
It’s part of something we’ve been building behind the scenes—something we’re really excited to finally share with you.
Rail Stop Fitness is now an official HYROX Training Club.
And while that might sound like a big, competitive step forward, the reality is much simpler:
It’s an opportunity—for every single person in our gym—to train with more purpose, challenge themselves in new ways, and stay motivated with something real to work toward. It’s also a way to reach a new group of people interested in this growing sport.
So… What is HYROX?
At its core, HYROX is a global fitness race designed to test both endurance and functional strength in a very unique way.
Each race follows the same format: eight 1-kilometer runs, each paired with a workout station in between. From SkiErg and rowing to sled pushes, farmer’s carries, lunges, and wall balls—it’s a combination of movements that demand consistency, grit, and smart pacing.
What makes HYROX different is its consistency. No matter where you compete, the structure stays the same—even at events like the HYROX World Championships.
That means your training has direction. Your progress is measurable. And your effort always has a purpose behind it.
Why We Brought HYROX to Rail Stop
If you’ve been with us for a while, you know we’re intentional about everything we do. We believe in training that builds strength, improves conditioning, and supports real life—all within a community that makes you want to keep showing up.
HYROX fits that vision perfectly.
It gives our members:
- A clear goal to work toward
- A structured way to build endurance
- A new challenge that’s both physical and mental
This is also a way to reach a whole new segment of our community interested in this fun challenge and introduce them to all of the great things about Rail Stop that our current members already are experiencing.
How We’re Rolling It Out
As we started planning how to bring HYROX into Rail Stop, one thing was clear—we didn’t want to just drop in a few classes and call it good.
We wanted to build something that worked for everyone.
That meant creating an approach that supports:
- Someone brand new to this style of training
- Someone who just wants a great workout
- And someone who’s thinking, “I want to see what I can do in a race”
So instead of a one-size-fits-all model, we’re layering it into the gym in a way that gives you options.
You’ll see HYROX-style training show up in our Group CrossFit Classes on Thursdays. These sessions blend seamlessly into what we already do, giving you exposure to the movements, pacing, and structure without needing to commit to anything beyond showing up and putting in the work. It will also be an opportunity for new members to experience our group class community through their HYROX membership.
From there, we’re building additional opportunities for those who want more.
On the Weekends, we’ll have dedicated sessions that focus specifically on the demands of a HYROX race—helping athletes build confidence, improve pacing, and understand how to manage effort across longer workouts.
We’re also developing strength-focused training designed to help you move more efficiently under fatigue. Because if you’ve experienced it already, you know—HYROX isn’t just about cardio. It’s about how well you can hold onto strength when you’re tired.
And throughout the year, we’ll bring everything together with HYROX Simulation Events and specialized Camps to prepare athletes for a specific upcoming race.
These will be some of the most fun, challenging, and community-driven days in the gym. Whether you’re going all-in or just curious, they’ll give you a chance to experience the format, test your progress, and share the effort with the people around you.
How It Fits Into Your Training
One of the biggest questions we’ve had internally is:
“How do we add this without taking away what people already love about Rail Stop?”
The answer is simple—we’re not replacing anything.
- If you love your current routine, you can keep it.
- If you want to mix in HYROX-style training, you can do that.
- If you want to go all-in and prepare for an event, we’ll support you there too.
This is also a way to reach a group of people interested in purely focusing on their HYROX training. Whether they are doing it for fun and to get a great workout or if they want to focus on preparing for an upcoming race, we’ll provide it all.
More Than Just Workouts
Becoming an official HYROX Training Club also connects our gym to something much bigger.
It gives our members access to:
- Early race registration opportunities
- Discounts on events
- Official fitness testing opportunities
- Visibility within a global fitness community
But beyond all of that, there’s something powerful about training with a shared goal—especially one that challenges you in ways you didn’t expect.
Is HYROX Right for You?
If you’re wondering whether this is something you should try, the answer is probably yes.
You don’t need to be an elite athlete.
You don’t need to be “in shape first.”
You don’t need competition experience.
You just need a willingness to try something new and push yourself a little further than you did yesterday.
Come Experience It
The best way to understand HYROX isn’t to read about it—it’s to do it.
We’ve built multiple ways for you to get started, including flexible membership options, drop-in opportunities, and a free trial class.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, looking for a new challenge, or just want something to reignite your motivation, this might be exactly what you need.
