Don’t Let the Holidays Screw’ge Your Fitness

Three years ago, we launched our “Committed Club” to encourage athletes to attend at least 12 classes per month, especially during the holidays when attendance tends to drop. One of the main reasons we did this was because we saw a noticeable decrease in attendance during the holiday and wanted to provide an incentive to maintain their fitness habits. The initiative worked, and the “Committed Club” has become a popular monthly goal. However, the holiday season’s stress and demands can challenge fitness commitments. Here are some reasons why you should do your best to stay on track.

The holidays can bring joy, but for 62% of adults, it also means elevated stress from packed schedules, shopping, and social obligations. Exercise offers a sanctuary to focus on yourself and relieve tension. A one-hour workout boosts endorphins, improves mood, and helps you tackle holiday pressures with clarity and energy.

Seasonal treats and indulgent meals are part of the festivities, but balancing them with workouts keeps you healthy and guilt-free. Exercise helps burn extra calories, keeps your metabolism active, and supports overall well-being.

It’s easy to prioritize others during the holidays, but your health is vital. Making time for fitness is a gift to yourself and your loved ones. Regular workouts ensure you have the strength and energy to fully show up for those who matter most.

Skipping workouts may feel convenient, but returning to routine post-holidays can be tough. Staying consistent keeps you on track. By maintaining your routine now, you’ll start the new year strong, avoiding the struggle of starting from scratch.

The gym is more than a place to work out; it’s a community that inspires and supports you. That one hour at the gym can be the “Best Hour of Your Day”—a time to recharge, sweat out stress, and reconnect with your goals. Your fitness community provides encouragement and accountability, helping everyone finish the year strong. So, carve out that time—it’s not just a workout; it’s an investment in yourself and a celebration of being part of something bigger.
